Spa Project at Hotel Indigo in Exeter

We were delighted to be selected for a standout commercial project at the brand-new Hotel Indigo in the heart of Exeter. Hydropool Devon supplied and installed a luxury range of wellness equipment, including Tylö saunas and steam rooms, alongside industry-leading Hydropool hot tubs, to create a modern and revitalising spa space for hotel guests.

The Project

Hotel Indigo Exeter aims to blend historic architecture with contemporary style, and the same care has gone into its new spa facilities. We had the pleasure of working with the hotel team to design and install a premium wellness spa that reflects both comfort and innovation.

As specialists in commercial spa installations, we pride ourselves on delivering high-performance, low-maintenance solutions tailored to each site. The result at Hotel Indigo is a beautifully curated wellness environment that supports both physical and mental wellbeing, all within walking distance of Exeter Cathedral.

Our contribution included two Hydropool hot tubs with commercial sand filters, as well as a Tylö Panacea Twin combination sauna and steam room.

The spa now offers guests a restorative experience after a day spent exploring the city, blending modern wellness with timeless relaxation.

The very worst install. Missing items, changing install dates, orders not updated for weeks, staff no idea what's happening, wrong electrical advice, multiple plugs needed for pergola but told one. Told 40amp but ground crew say 32a. You said where the electrical leads should go but it's wrong again costing me more money. It's a horrific business. The girl is lovely in the Devon showroom buts she's already pulling her hair out dealing with the mess. Install crew are great but they're unfortunately copping the flack being on the front line. No return calls no reply from emails we had to drive an hour to the showroom to get answers and an install date. Now waiting for missing heater and controller. 2 of our electricians told different things regarding amps and cables and both were wrong. At this price point I expect a top notch level of knowledge and service. I expected a full breakdown of exact electrical work needed to our guys. I can’t recommend this business to anyone spending this kind of money. I’m sure they will make up some response like ‘we’ve checked our records and can’t find you as a client’ i’m a client and above is true no matter what they respond with.

Alex more than happy to answer any questions that we were not sure about .
It’s a very big decision to buy a pool but one of the best ones we have made .

Have had a sauna and a hot tub from the guys at Hydropool Devon and both are fantastic. The service from the minute we walked in, through the order process and onto delivery and installation was first class. We were updated on progress regularly and the handover was clear and comprehensive. One minor issue with the sauna was addressed without question and in a timely manner. Top marks to an excellent company. We would definitely use them again.

Excellent customer service and support for our 14 foot swim spa. We had difficulties with the delivery but these were handled and resolved quickly. Some minor damage to the swim spa upon delivery but Hydropool Devon responded to this immediately without quibble and are arranging for this to be rectified. My only suggestion would be for an improved handover pack to be provided with better operation and maintenance instructions, rather than just being provided with links to on-line videos.

We visited the new showroom by appointment where we met Chris who took us through all the various hot tub options. No high pressure sales, it was a relaxed and informative visit and we were even given the opportunity to try out the hot tubs, although we did not take up this offer

Fourth annual service. As always, easy to book. Arrived on time. Friendly service, hot tub looks sparkly and very happy with the result. The team is always friendly, punctual, helpful and overall 5*.
My only negative this year is that I didn't find a Black Friday discount code for my service costs!!! 🤣 It's an expensive service, but does save in the long run because my hot tub runs efficiently and is clean. I do believe it helps to keep if functioning. I've had mine for 5 years now and it looks/works as new. I don't have to worry about hygiene at all or filtering. Thanks 👍

We also had a decking area installed in a tricky place by Riviera decking and we couldn’t have asked for a better job. Great craftsmanship and attention to detail. Very professional service from the start, given good advice by all the staff on, types, price, how to use them, all good information.
It was delivered and installed by very compete technicians, who gave some good advice on the cleaning and maintenance of the serenity 4500 pool.
On the first morning we had a small leak, once hydropool were informed, it was dealt with, within 2 hours, great response and was able to use it that evening (thanks).
We have be able to use it must evening after work and at weekends, it has now been used and enjoyed by 3 generations of our family, long may this continue.

We had no experience of owning a hot tub, and spoke to several different suppliers before settling with Hydropool Devon. Angela, the sales manager, was excellent with her advice and knowledge, and throughout the quite long sales and pre installation process was both helpful and informative.
Their installation team were excellent, again being helpful and with good practical advice, giving us a good demonstration of how to set up and maintain the hot tub, and left it running nicely.
Since then we have loved using it and find the quality of the hot tub, the number of jets, and easy maintenance all very good features.
In summary, two very happy hot tub owners and users.

Five years ago I met Angela at HydroPool Devon when we were considering a hot tub. At the time we decided to wait.
Earlier this year we decided to buy a hot tub and we did our research and began looking around.
We found a couple of other companies and of course cheaper options online.
A friend who was also considering a hot tub bought one from an online site and it was delivered and looked great. However, it was costing in excess of seven pounds a day in electric.

I went to HydroPool and viewed the tubs available and decided on a ex-display model.
It was delivered on 9th May 2024 and the delivery was faultless, the guys who delivered and set up the hot tun was knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble.

Apart from a week’s holiday it has been used every day! Sometimes two or three times a day! the children love it and so do i.
The chemicals are simple to use, HydroPool are at the end of the phone for advice and the advice they gave when I had left it for the week worked and was spot on.

The biggest question is, how economical is it. Well the great news is VERY.
On average it’s costing one pound to one pound twenty a day, sometimes even less.
We have the water filtering twelve hours a day which is anctually more than recommended, but it’s getting a lot of use so I am filtering for longer and have temperature set at 37 degrees.
Last week my youngest turned up the heat to 39 and i was unaware until I got in the next day, so I turned it down and left the lid open for a couple of hours.
Five days later, the only way I could get the temperature down was to add cold water, this is testament to the insulation within the hot tub and the thickness of the cover.

We are really happy with our hot tub and the outstanding service we have had from the team at HydroPool and have already recommended a family member who has made a purchase of a hot tub and had delivery of it.

I had been looking for sometime for a new hot tub to replace the internet shop bought tub that had developed numerous leaks and faults at only 5 years old .
When you start looking it can be a bit daunting - there is so much choice online with options galore - many have attractive headlines that initially draw you in but a closer look reveals remote / distant supply with limited follow up service.

I specifically wanted to buy local and develop a relationship with the business for a longer term service contact- and meaningful benefit of an extended warranty.

An internet search for “near me” suppliers led me to Hydropool Devon at Kingskerswell.
I then abandoned the internet and went to the showroom - which immediately cuts across so many questions - Carl and Josh couldn’t have been more helpful .

The product range is extensive with many on display - plenty of options giving choice across a price range and specification for many customers requirements.

After a couple of hours on-site discussion I landed on the Serenity 5900 model and laced the order a day or so after .

The major complication to be over cone was the very restricted access route at my property to the tub location - including removal & disposed of the existing tub for a modest fee.

Josh led the onsite install discussions - with use of video and photographs a detailed proposal for the installation was provided.

This addressed 2 tight 90 degrees corners , 3 good changes in level - and a final lift into a recessed location for the tub .

Throughout the whole process the team was enthusiastic , attentive, courteous , respectful of my property (and the new tub) - and pleasantly appreciative for my custom.

A thoroughly professional service - making the purchase stress free - and fun .

And the product is fabulous - exceeding expectations by some way .

The follow up service contract is now being discussed - which compliments the 5 year warranty .

First rate - delighted .

I purchased a hydropool aquatrainer 17AX it is amazing the team were awesome from start to finish, we were kept updated all the way through the process and were extremely flexible and helpful, a pleasurable experience and would recommend to anyone who is thinking of getting a swimspa or hot tub.
The guys were great installing and handing over the spa too, afterwards I felt confident in looking after my pool and especially using all the chemicals.

We are well impressed with the service we have received from both Hydropool Devon and Hydropool Bristol.

Carl and Josh from Hydropool Devon have both been very helpful. Following my request for a brochure, Carl followed up with a phone call and answered some of my queries regarding owning a hot tub and provided us with some very informative videos. I expected to be put under pressure to make a purchase, but there was no pressure put on us whatsoever. And Josh has provided good after care customer service, phoning to ensure we were happy with our purchase and saying on several occasions that if we have any queries or need any help, both him and Leon from Hydropool Bristol were only a phone call away.

Leon from Hydropool Bristol has been just brilliant – we cannot praise him enough. He was so helpful and knowledgeable about each hot tub that he showed us, again no pressure. Once the hot tub we chose was delivered, Leon set the hot tub up for us, then spent time to explain the chemicals and how to use them, amongst other things. He is so enthusiastic and was very patient, ensuring he did not leave us until we confirmed we felt happy with the advice he had given. He has been amazing post installation by providing support both on the phone and by visiting when we queried things it turned out we had not been entirely sure about.

What I like about Hydropool as a whole is the staff are both friendly and professional and seem to work well as a team. They arranged everything right through to organising a Hi-Ab crane to lift the tub over the wall and garden shed to its final destination. The communication between Hydropool Devon and Hydropool Bristol to make our dream of owning a hot tub happen for us was very impressive. We can’t praise them enough.

Sales team very informative and helpful. Hot Tub quality is the best we have ever seen; and we have viewed lots over many years of deliberation. Delivery went smoothly, and install fine. Only minor gripe, was amount of Chlorine put into tub on set up, far too much, so I could not use on first evening. Still Learning, but so far, Sales Teams Customer assistance and follow up has been good.

When we moved into our new home in Torbay we rang up Hydropool Devon and explained what we wanted in the garden.. They built us a beautiful bespoke cabin and placed a 7 seated hot tub inside. The hot tub and the materials for the cabin was lifted over with a Crane to the back garden with NO hassle what's so ever. We love our new cabin and spend a lot of time relaxing in the hot tub.. Thanks again Hydropools and Riviera Decking. We recommend this company to anyone. Always a pleasure to see and talk to the staff when we pop into the showroom for our hot tub essentials. We've been very happy with the hot tub and so pleased we decided to get one from Hydropool Devon. It's our first hot tub and from our initial enquiry to delivery and after sales service, each person we have spoken to has been responsive, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. It was very reassuring. There were delays from Canada and we had delays due to our awful builders, but Hydropool Devon maintained good communication throughout. I would definitely recommend them! Our model is Serenity 4500 and it's easy to use and maintain and good quality. We love it! Thank you to everyone at Hydropool Devon. Another excellent service on our hot tub. The outer casing and cover of the tub was quite dowdy at the start but positively shining at the end. All jets, filters, fountains, headrests were removed and throughly cleaned as was the inside itself. I would recommend this to all hot tub owners to ensure their tub remains in tip-top condition. The technician (Mark) was very personable while carrying out the service.

Must say my husband and I were delighted with the whole experience of purchasing our hot tub from the professionalism of the showroom demonstration and negotiating process through to to delivery, which just before Christmas we couldn't have had anymore rain on the delivery day, however with all the logistical difficulties getting it into our walled back garden Adam and Mark stayed positive throughout and achieved the installation. We have since been enjoying the hydropool immensely as well as the whole family over the Christmas period!! We wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending your company for quality hot tubs.

Possibly the best small company in the UK

Probably the best small business in the UK, from walking in to look at the hot tubs to installation we have been very impressed, the service offered by David Hayes and his team have been excellent, all the staff are 100% and thats very rare these days. Nothing has been too much trouble, will definitely be back.,Possibly the best small business in the UK, this company gives the service that you just cant find these days, i never really give positive feedback as there is always something not quite right but i simply cant fault Hydropool in anyway, the service was excellent from walking in to the installation of our new hot tub, which is excellent and we love it.
David Hayes and his team are all first class and nothing is too much trouble.
Will definitely return in the future.

So happy that we went with Hydropool for our tub. Definitely a superior quality tub. Staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble especially when we had to hire the biggest truck to get it over the roof of the house to get it in the back garden! Wouldn't be without our tub now. Love it.
