BISHTA guidelines state you must drain and clean your tub between each rental, so make sure you have enough time to do this! If you are gaining financially from having a hot tub, you are legally required to make sure your rental tub is clean and safe for use. Follow these steps to ensure your hot tub is safe for ue by customers!
- Have a hot tub with in-line sanitizers (doses Chlorine & Bromine)
- Empty the hot tub after every use (or every week, whichever comes first)
- Test & record the pH and Chlorine/Bromine 2 x per day
- Microbiological testing (every month for bacteria + quarterly for Legionella)
